Marie Claire magazine
(Italian edition) featured several
of the above artists in an article about
this
museum and menstruation in 2003. The
newspaper Corriere della Sera (Io Donna
magazine) (Milan, Italy) and the magazine
Dishy (Turkey) showed some of
the artists in 2005 in articles about this
museum.

Anne Encephalon, the artist,
writes,
Dearest MUM,
I was looking at some of the
menstrual art at your Web site and
decided to send you some pictures
of a piece I did that relates to
menstruation.
I painted a self-portrait in red
acrylic paint on the crotch of
some lovely feminine undies. The
undies were exhibited this year
(along with the mesh laundry bag
seen in the first picture) in an
exhibition called "Phat/Flat"
which was originally a mail-in
painting exhibition. I mailed the
undies wrapped up in the mesh
laundry bag inside a plastic
wrapping.
