"ALL EYES ARE ON TAMPAX in 1964"
Promotional package for Tampax menstrual tampons
(aimed at dealers?), 1964, U.S.A.

I believe Tampax made this folder to promote the tampon to dealers. Certainly other companies did the same thing (see links under the text).

What's curious to me is the dissonance between what the front cover shows and what it seeks to say: seeing versus secrecy. Twenty-two eyeballs look at Tampax but the message is Don't look at Tampax! I believe one theory of schizophrenia was the constant conflicting messages given to afflicted children by their parents. I hope the readers recovered without medication!

"All eyes are on Tampax in 1964" probably means everyone is impressed by Tampax's method of unidentifying the box.
