The Museum of Menstruation and Women's Health
 |
A member of the Johns Hopkins University laboratory that developed the
Instead menstrual cup made and wore this Halloween costume (near left) in 1995. She
presented it to MUM in a ceremony at the museum attended by many of her
laboratory co-workers.
Shoes embellished with menstrual tampons complete the outfit.
Beth Littleford of Comedy Central TV wanted
to wear this costume during her interview of the MUM director for the "Daily
Show" in December 1996 (read
about it here).
Look at the promotional dress (photo
here) made of Instead menstrual cups that the Ultrafem corporation sent
this museum.
