Midol menstrual pain booklet

Midol, which is American medication for menstrual pain, published this booklet for women
in 1959, which contains a gold mine of outdated ideas and ways of expressing things, and
some outright silliness. My criticism here is not for Midol, but for the booklet. I'm showing
only a few pages. Tambrands gave the booklet to this museum.

The doctor seems to be enjoying himself.
 
You would read elsewhere in the booklet that "women's greatest physical problem" is menstrual pain.
"[F]emale health" sounds as if the company is handling women with tongs.
