Complete booklet

Discussion.

I've translated the booklet; see under each page.

I thank the Norwegian contributor of the booklet!

Below: Pp. 32-35.
This is how you insert a Tampax tampon
A. Remove the paper around the tampon by pulling on the thread. With the thumb and middle finger hold the outer tube on the grooved end. Put the rounded end of the tampon into the opening of the vagina.
B. Carefully push the outer outer tube into the vagina until the thumb and middle finger touch the body [vulva] (it helps to loosen the tubes a little). 3-4 centimeters of the applicator are inside the vagina while the grooved part and inside tube still are visible.
C. While you hold the grooved end, push the inner tube into the outer one. Use the same or the other hand. Then you're pushing the tampon into place inside the vagina.
D. The tampon sits in the correct place in the middle of the vagina. Take the fingers away so that the string is set free. remove the tubes and toss into the toilet. About 5 cm.of the string should be visible.

A Tampax tampon that's right for you
If you have already used Tampax Mini you can also use the other Tampax tampons. Tampax comes in different sizes and absorption abilities according to how heavy your periods are. Even if these other tampons have greater absorption abilities they're just as easy to use. But because they have more absorbent material they can deal with heavier bleeding.
Tampax Mini and Regular are designed for light to moderate bleeding. Tampax Super is for moderate to heavy bleeding. Tampax Super Plus should only be used when the period is especially heavy. Be careful to use only the absorption capacity that matches your bleeding amount. Don't use tampons that are more absorbent than you need.
Used tampons
The insertion tubes of the usual Tampax tampons can be thrown into the toilet. Tampax tampons consist only of natural plant fibers. The tampon's different parts and packing material, including the box, break down and don't damage the environment.
Remember . . .
* that no matter what kind you prefer tampons should be used only during the period and not any other time.
* to take out the old tampon before you put a new one in.
* to remove the last tampon when your period is over.
[It's interesting that the text doesn't mention toxic shock syndrome, which is the reason for these careful directions. Maybe the company didn't want to scare potential users.]
