Menstrual sanitary aprons, underpants, etc. in mail-order catalogs from
1918 - 1941 (U.S.A.)
The Charles William Stores catalog, 1922, New York
City
See washable pads and ads for them,
early Kotex, "sanitary underpants
& panties" and more belts.
I thank again the generous contributor from Oregon for these scans
and his research!

Look at the words Tourist Outfit and compare the
"type" style to similar words, like Silk Apron in the ad below
it.
The letters are written slightly differently, revealing that someone printed
these by hand using a calligraphy pen
rather than being from metal type like the other text. One of the lower
examples is crooked and another runs slightly
over an illustration. But they look good.
