Boots belt to hold menstrual pad, U.K., 1990s?
More belts to hold menstrual pads.
See how a woman wore a belt in a Dutch ad.
See a classy 1920s ad for a belt and the first
ad (1891) MUM has for a belt.

MUSEUM OF MENSTRUATION AND WOMEN'S HEALTH
Old bottle for medicine, Boots Company, chemists
(pharmacy), United Kingdom
Late 19th, early 20th centuries?
Boots is a leading pharmacy - chemist in
the United Kingdom - in the British Isles and elsewhere. John Boot started
the company in 1849.
Today, Boots sells its own menstrual products, including a menstrual pad (towel in the U.K.) belt for a tabbed pad,
which is why I show the bottle.
A cork probably originally stoppered the
bottle, which contained an unknown substance. Anyone want to pay for an
analysis of the residue in the bottle?
More old bottles: from Mrs.
Pinkham's Medicine Company (U.S.A., 19th century?)

Below: The colorless glass bottle measures
6 7/8" (17.5 cm) tall, 3" (7.6 cm) wide and 1 3/4" )4.3 cm)
deep.
The background makes it appear darker than it is; it's
clear. The mottled appearance results
from the residue of its contents.

Below: The narrow side. The arrows
point to the edges of the residue of whatever
was inside.
