Ever since a child raised in
Georgia, U.S.A., I have always
had a fervent passion to
express myself through the
visual arts by taking any
common subject that captures
my interest and transforming
it into a different
personalized subject matter.
Throughout my adolescent
years I spent much of my
leisure time copying,
altering, and creating pieces
of art which progressively
trained me to perceive and
portray the world and its
surroundings in a distinct
fashion of my own.
Come to think of it, it's
safe to assume that it was
during my high school years
when I gradually mastered the
art of drawing and coloring as
I had acquired the ability to
make portraits, landscapes,
figures, and still life with
the use of charcoals, pastels,
and color pencils.
However, it was not until two
years after I graduated when I
finally decided to become a
fine artist. Therefore, I
determined myself to learn
about the fine arts by
studying the most prominent
paintings of history and the
great artists of the past such
as Dürer, Titian,
Michelangelo, Picasso,
Matisse, and my most
influential, Salvador Dali, to
name a few, and for the very
first time I selected oils to
be the primary medium for my
artwork.
Ever since, as a self-taught
artist, I have shown and sold
my paintings in most states
throughout the U.S. and many
countries worldwide. I'm also
a recipient of awards for
which I've been recognized for
excellence and distinction of
my artworks.
My motto is simple: "If it
looks good, then do it."
When it comes to aesthetics I
always follow my own instinct
to explore and experiment
until my work is accomplished.
Regarding the style of my
work, I just paint .However
it's necessary in order to
make the best visual
presentation according to the
different subjects of my
paintings. Therefore, it is
the subject of my artwork
which determines my style of
art. I don't like to submit
myself to any particular style
of art.
